This Privacy Policy describes how Pixidian (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Pixidian Chat Widget app (the “App”) for Shopify merchants (“you” or “merchants”).

1. Overview

Pixidian Chat Widget is a Shopify app that helps merchants add and manage a multi-channel chat widget on their online store. The App is designed to work primarily with store configuration data and anonymous usage metrics. We do not collect or store your customers’ personal data (such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or order details).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 From merchants

When you install and use the App, we may process the following data:

• Shopify shop domain (e.g., yourstore.myshopify.com)
• Technical identifiers provided by Shopify needed to operate the App
• Chat widget configuration (enabled channels, display position, page targeting, and related settings)
• Non-personal diagnostic information, such as error logs and basic performance data

2.2 From store visitors

The App is intentionally designed to avoid collecting your customers’ personal information. We do not read or store chat messages, customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or order details.

For analytics purposes, we may record anonymous, aggregated usage events, such as:

• Which channel button was clicked (e.g., WhatsApp, LINE)
• Which page the widget was used on (e.g., home, product page)
• Timestamp of the event

These events are not linked to identified individuals and are used solely to provide you with usage statistics inside the App.

3. How We Use the Information

We use the information described above to:

• Authenticate your shop and operate the App
• Store and apply your chat widget configuration across your store
• Provide analytics and reports about channel usage and page performance
• Maintain and improve the reliability and security of the App
• Respond to your support requests

4. Data Storage and Security

App data is hosted on reputable cloud providers (such as Vercel and managed PostgreSQL infrastructure) located in regions suitable for our service. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

5. Data Retention

We retain merchant configuration and anonymous usage data for as long as your shop remains actively using the App, or as needed to provide the service. When you uninstall the App, our systems will automatically remove or anonymize associated configuration and analytics data within a reasonable period, subject to technical backups and legal requirements.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data or your customers’ data. We may share limited information with:

• Service providers who host our infrastructure or provide monitoring and logging tools, solely to operate the App.
• Authorities or third parties when required by law, a court order, or to protect our legal rights.

7. Your Rights and Choices

As a merchant, you can:

• Access and update your widget configuration within the App
• Uninstall the App at any time from your Shopify admin
• Contact us to request deletion of remaining App-related data associated with your shop

Your customers’ rights regarding their personal data (such as access, correction, or deletion) are managed primarily through Shopify. The App does not store customer-identifiable information, but we will cooperate with Shopify or with you to support any valid data protection requests.

8. International Transfers

Because we use cloud infrastructure, your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We take reasonable steps to ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that your data remains protected.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for use by Shopify merchants and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Policy.
